Mission of the organization

OWRPO fights for the protection of human rights in energy sector, use of financial flows related with energy sector for the benefit of the society and organization of public control in this field.

Legal status and activities of the organization

Oil-Workers Rights Protection Organization (OWRPO) was established in 1996 by a group of specialist working in oil sector in order to protect human rights working in oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan and to create control of civil societies over the project implemented in the energy sector of the country. (See: www.nhmt–az.org). From its establishment OWRPO implemented number of projects and programs and gained achievements. Main activities of the organization are the followings:

Oil Workers’ Rights Protection Organization (OWRPO) , which guided by democracy, transparency and social equality has decided to adopt gender policy in order to :

• To improve the lives of the people
• Increase of development and professionalism of everybody
• Equal use of the capacity of women and men .

The key objective in adoption of gender policy

• To create equal opportunities for men and women at work, as well as in political, economic, social, cultural and other fields of life  preventing of forms of discrimination, ensure gender equality,                                                                                                                 
• To ensure equal opportunities and equal social situation in the organization regarding equal rights of  men and women;                                                                                               
• Assurance of equal condition and guaranties for women and men in execution of human rights in the organization ;                                                                                                                                             
• Prevention of any kind of difference, exclusion or preference restricting or denying the equal human rights for due to sex;

1. Goal of fundraising strategy

The main purpose of the present fundraising strategy (afterwards-Strategy) is to justify sustainable provision of financial and material-technical resources of the organization and diversification of funding sources with long-term perspective.
